Description

Lemongrass unfolds with a fresh, lemony aroma and a clear golden cup. The taste is smooth and softly sweet, with a citrus lift that feels clean and refreshing on the palate. A rustic grass of the Poaceae family, Cymbopogon citratus grows in warm, sunlit places and is loved across kitchens from Thailand to the Caribbean. In the West it has long been valued as a gentle digestive and a calming companion for the nervous system. Drink it hot when the day asks for stillness, or chilled when it asks for refreshment. Steep a teaspoon in just-off-the-boil water for four to six minutes, here at O Cais or at home.
