Description

The first leaves of the season carry a fresh, lifting aroma and a light, gentle character. In the cup the infusion glows a golden amber, its taste soft and clear, with pleasant floral notes that linger quietly. These leaves come from the hillside gardens of Darjeeling in northern India, where Camellia sinensis has been tended for well over a century. Picked early in spring and processed the same day, this first flush is often called the champagne of teas. Loose leaf, to enjoy unhurried at O Cais or carry home — a bright, balancing cup for a quiet morning.

Camellia sinensis (black tea leaves)
